I went to medical Doctors and they gave me an ear test and said that I had vertigo and there was nothing they could do for me. They treated me with a drug that made the dizziness worse. One Doctor said that I had a small back problem but it wasn’t bad enough to operate on. He didn’t want to deal with me I could tell. I didn’t know what to do and actually Chiropractic was my last choice. What a big mistake that was, but I have learned by this mistake and quite honestly can say I do not trust medical Doctors anymore.
After Doc’s miracle adjustments, I am in great health. No more worrying about falling because of my equilibrium being off and I can do things without thinking I might have pain. Because of him, I had enough confidence to change my career from a very backbreaking job as a dog groomer to a dog walker, which is helping with my cardiovascular health and in turn, helps with mental health also.
My husband has been seeing Doc at his Concord Chiropractic office for a few years now and I have seen a big difference in him. He laughs more and is so much more relaxed and outgoing and doesn’t complain endlessly about pains anymore… he himself had an injury to his leg at age 12 which almost caused him to have his leg amputated. But his mom said no way. Since he was young and still growing this put a lot of pressure on his spine with walking differently to compensate for his injury. I saw his x-rays and his spine takes an about turn around the middle of his back. He had suffered a lot of stomach problems and pain upon standing or walking for any length of time.
My husband and I have so much to be thankful for now in finding Doc Barton. He is an exceptional Chiropractor who practices very gentle and caring ways. He is an honest and caring person who will definitely help anyone if they are willing to be helped. He also has very caring and down to earth people helping at the office that make you feel when you walk in as if you belong there.

In 1981, a telephone pole fell on my head during a car accident!
I was in a coma, when I came to I was paralyzed. I had to learn everything over again. It was so hard to learn after that, everything I learned, I would forget. I struggled for 13 years. I went to Doctors, neurologist, and a physical therapist, no one could help me. In 1994, I was referred to Dr. Barton at his Concord Chiropractic office . He was the first one that said there was a problem, and he said he could help.
Dr. Barton had me sit down in the chair and relax. Then he adjusted me. I felt a warm tingling at the base of my skull. By the third adjustment the warmth was over my entire skull, and I was able to move my neck again, and I could remember things that I couldn’t since the coma; peoples’ names, things that happened. My brain was starting to work again! The next week I started getting feeling back in the right side of my body, the one that was paralyzed. I continued to get better with Dr. Barton’s care.
Years later I was doing great. I left the city, moved to the mountains and had a serious fall. I started losing mobility in my arms and legs, I was having 3-4 seizures a day, I could barely speak and needed help to get out of bed, get dressed, or eat. I went to Doctor after Doctor until the neurologist said that my brain was swelling and there was nothing he could do for me. I was just going to get worse and I would soon need a wheelchair. I refused to give up. I knew if anyone could fix me, Dr. Barton could. So, I had my wife take me to see Dr. Barton again. Within one week, I started speaking clearly. I was able to move my hands and arms, I could walk instead of shuffling, and the dizziness was gone. I can even drive again.
Dr. Barton has again proven all the other Doctors and neurologist wrong!
Dr. Barton I praise you for your professionalism in working miracles with your hands on me and everyone else. Thank you for helping me live a normal life again. May God Bless You.

I felt like I was dragging my legs to walk
When I met Dr. Barton almost a year ago, I was struggling with having recently been diagnosed with an auto-immune disease called Miasthenia Gravis. The disease causes me to be deficient in receptors between my nerves and muscles. The effect of this deficiency caused constant fatigue. I could begin the day with a normal amount of energy, but become totally exhausted when I ran out of receptors. By the afternoon my muscles would not cooperate with my mind, and I would need to rest after almost every task. I felt like I was dragging my legs to walk and like I was carrying an extra 15 lbs. on my shoulders and with each arm. I also had continual pain that would move around to different parts of my back and neck. The slowness and the pain were very frustrating for me, especially while trying to care for my three kids.
Since starting my visits with Dr. Barton, at Barton Chiropractic in Concord, my health has improved immensely. I discovered a pattern in how my body has responded to the adjustments and ultimately arrived at a much higher level of health. I would improve sometimes gradually and at other times drastically in my energy levels, then experience as mall setback, and then go on to grow stronger and surpass the former level of healing. I know that I am well on my way to complete healing. The medical doctors told me that this is not possible.
A year ago I never would have dreamt of having enough energy to exercise. Now I am swimming 40 laps at the pool two times a week in addition to all I do running after my kids each day. I was stunned this past winter when I had a chance to go skiing. I hadn’t been for 20 years and told myself I would be satisfied to make it down a beginner’s run a couple of times. Instead I skied the entire day with tremendous energy and stamina, and was just fine the next day. If someone had told me a year ago that I would be skiing for a whole day I would have told them it could only happen with a miracle.
The rest of my family also sees Dr. Barton, and he has helped each one in wonderful ways. One example of the health they experience is that my kids have not been to see a doctor for an entire year. They have been amazingly healthy.
I am certain that God has answered my prayer by leading me and my family to Dr. Barton. I thank God for the gift He has given to Dr. Barton to facilitate the wonderful healing we have experienced under his care. I am so grateful to Dr. Barton for the heart and the grace he has for people and for the knowledge and skill that he has to be such a good chiropractor.

Dear Doctor Barton, September 2000
In April of this year, I was stuck with Bell’s palsy. Being that I didn’t know of anyone having had it, I was terrified and anxious to find out what it was all about.
Bell’s palsy is a form of facial paralysis resulting from damage and inflammation of the 7th cranial nerve. This disorder affects 40,000 people a year. It mainly attacks people who have diabetes, influenza, or a cold. Besides one-sided facial paralysis and inability to close one eye, symptoms may include; tearing, drooling, and impairment of taste. The more common cause is the common cold virus, herpes simplex.
It was difficult to even look at myself in the mirror. Even knowing that it is a temporary thing, but there is a chance it may never go away. The day after I came down with this, my father, (a very dedicated patient of yours), called me and told me that he had talked with you, and you told him to have me come in.
I came in that day to see you. I felt very embarrassed about my looks, but you were there being honest and lively as ever. You encouraged me not to worry and to laugh as much as possible. That same day after I got adjusted and walked out of your office I knew that this was going to work. If it works for all the people that come to see you with back and neck pain, asthma, cramps, sciatica problems, etc. I knew it would work. I trusted in you and in the end thanks to all your efforts and triumphs I feel brand new and look about 100% better.
Each time I came in to see you, we both noticed improvements, IF it wasn’t my eyebrows that moved, then it was a straighter smile. If it wasn’t a straighter smile, then my eye was closing more and more.
I appreciate all you and your staff has done for me to make me feel welcomed in your office and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for making me feel brand new.

I would like everyone to know how awesome you have been for me at a very bleak time in my life… (Feb, 2004) Just when I knew life couldn’t get worse my back went out when picking up my three year old daughter, a daily act??? Kaiser told me it was a sciatic nerve problem and gave me pain pills and said, “give it time.” As a single parent of four kids under the age of ten, time is something I don’t have much of.
When a friend recommended your service, I didn’t give it much consideration. AS days passed and my problem worsened, I decided to give it a shot.
When I left the first day I was still in a lot of pain, but was very moved by you and your staff, by the true friendliness and care. I was also shocked at what was a monthly rate, when I was certain it could have been a weekly rate… (care before money in today’s world is unheard of.)
After a few weeks had past and after not receiving that quick fix we all hope for, I gave up on the adjustments. When I stopped coming, my phone started ringing. Everyday your office called, that’s when I realized you all truly care.
As of today (May 2004) I FEEL GREAT and CHIROPRACTIC WORKS!!! BEST OF ALL I KNOW GOD’S LOVE IS VERY ALIVE HERE!

I bent over to pick something up off the floor and felt something “go out”
Dear Doc Barton,
Last Wed. I really knew I was in big trouble when I bent over to pick something up off the floor and felt something “go out” in my lower back. Immediately I felt horrible shooting pains in my lower back and legs. I could hardly move. I was so scared. I have heard of people doing the same thing to their lower back and heard of the pain and the agony they went through for months, even years. This is the busiest time of the year at my work and I am essentially irreplaceable. Taking time off now would have made my boss very unhappy with me. Not to mention a real financial hardship.
As always, you were just a phone call away from my disaster. Thank you a million times from letting me come right back for my second visit in less than an hour. You started the process of healing me right away, before more damage could be done. You took away some of the pain, right away, and as always you were your usual comforting self.
Then later that day you let me come in AGAIN and really put whatever was “out” totally back “in.” I couldn’t believe the relief I got. It was like whatever injury I had gotten earlier that day was weeks old and well on its way to being completely healed.
The next couple of days you continued to work your magic and the pain was all, but completely gone. Now it is Tues. (not even a week later) and my back feels great- no pain- not even a little bit. AND I never had to even miss a day at work.
My only wish is that I had known you when my other back and neck problems started, so you could have prevented a lot, or all, of the suffering I had to live with all these years. I know that you with your swift intervention, have saved me years of pain and misery.

This month will mark two years since I made a major change in my life, when I decided to change chiropractors.
I find you have helped me so much, enabling me to do what I love most like major heavy yard work and house work. I also go to work now without pain, advil or grumpiness. Before you, I never really felt good. I have not experienced so much energy in 16years. The dizziness and pressure I used to experience in my brain are non-existent. Occasionally I have relapses, but they are mild.
You are the first doctor to say your body is not functioning at its fullest capacity, in lieu of saying you just have to live with the pain!
I appreciate you hanging in there and being patient with my healing process as I know it has taken longer than you expected.
I trust you and feel the change I made two years ago, has become a very positive force in my life.
