Periostitis Pubis

Periostitis pubis is a new condition in the medical literature which is characterized by lower abdominal pain persisting for several weeks to several years.  Physical findings include tenderness in one of the abdominal quadrants and over the os pubis.  During the next five years the doctor noted 12 more of these cases.  The doctor reports that this condition may be of “mechanical origin.”
